Announcing the Engagement of Mr./Ms. Health & Ms./Mr. Housing

Health & Housing. Another set of terms and associated values to add to a long list of ambiguous, commodified vocabulary that is supposed to move us forward in meaningful ways. Don’t take that as my cynicism or lack of enthusiasm for the notion of the interrelateness of these two concepts. On the contrary, I am working at this intersection nearly every day. And it’s for that reason that I am acutely aware of a limitless amount of perceptions, opinions, and definitions for where health meets housing, housing impacts health, and so forth. It’s for that reason that I won’t take up more space in our rather insane lives right to share my own definition. Instead, I’ll invite you to a party.

I like parties. Remember them? It’s when friends, maybe even some family members we actually like, came together to share food, drink, intellectual banter and trivial humor. Hopefully, the kind that burrows deep into your gut to create those belly laughs that make you cry and wonder the next morning why your abs are sore. Oh, I miss that!

So clear your calendar for this engagement party!

They’re Finally Hooked!

Come Celebrate the Engagement of Mr./Ms. Health and Ms./Mr. Housing

These two have known each other since they were just school age children. Although it has taken longer than most would have assumed, now they have fallen in love. Health and Housing realize their lives are totally intertwined. Together, they have a chance to make an impact on this world far greater than if they traversed it alone.

Mr./Ms. Health needs the stability of Ms./Mr. Housing to have the opportunities he/she deserves. Ms./Mr. Housing is nothing more than an empty shelter without Mr./Ms. Health. Without him/her, he/she can even be toxic. With their union, Mr./Ms. Health and Ms./Mr. Housing will support a family with a safe environment and quality care. It’s a match made in . . . well . . . any neighborhood you choose to bring them to.

Look forward to seeing you at the party! RSVP to Stephen Samuels, ssamuels@bubblement.com.
